From Argentina to Venice: Our Magazine Features for Travelsphere World – Pt. 1

At World Words, we get asked to work on all kinds of travel content, from eye-catching website copy to inspiring blog posts, in-depth destination guides to detailed travel itineraries. But one of our favourite things to do is write travel feature articles for newspapers and magazines. That’s because it allows us to get creative and descriptive, bringing all our global expertise to the fore and inspiring readers to book adventures to exciting, far-flung lands.

Naturally, we were delighted when Travelsphere, who we’ve previously helped with their catalogue copy, asked us to help produce some features for their Travelsphere World Magazine. The aim was to write articles that were inspiring, exciting and educational, while also linking to tour itineraries that were on offer in their latest brochure.

Over the course of a month, we wrote several articles of varying lengths about destinations all around the world, from the Mediterranean to the Indian Ocean. Scroll on down to read extracts from three – with links to read more.

(Three other Travelsphere World Magazine articles will follow in another blog post shortly. Watch this space.)

Our Travels: Andorra

At this precise moment in time, there are World Words team members dotted all over the world. Literally. All over the world. It’s inevitable, really – when you are a team of travel content writers and editors, discovering far-flung corners of the globe isn’t only our greatest passion; it’s part of the job description. After all, it’s this on-the-ground expertise that allows us to create exactly the kind of well-informed, superior-quality content that our clients crave.

Every once in a while, we like to give our readers some insight into where on earth our team members are. And we do this through a blog series called, imaginatively, Our Travels. In the past, we’ve covered our writers’ trips to everywhere from Lisbon to Luang Prabang, Guatemala to The Gambia. This time, it’s the European microstate of Andorra. Scroll down to read about our editor-in-chief Joe’s trip, the realisation to a 17-year-long travel ambition…

Feeling All Summery: A Selection of Our Best Summer Travel Content (Part One)

It’s the end of June, and summer is well and truly upon us. So it’s time to share some great summer travel content.

For many of us, summer is synonymous with holidays – the warmer the weather, the more we yearn to get out of the city and head down to the beach – so we’ll start with a pair of destination guides we wrote for two of Southern Europe’s finest summer seaside getaways. First up is Puglia, Italy’s stunning destination du jour, and next is Spain’s sand-lined Costa Blanca, where toasty summer temperatures have been drawing in sun worshippers for decades.

Alternatively, if you dream of spending your summer the way wealthy tycoons and celebrities do (i.e. lounging on the deck of a luxury yacht), you may want to read the article we wrote on Palma’s superyacht scene. And for those who don’t have the budget, holiday time or inclination to venture to the Mediterranean, we’ve also included a rundown of country-wide UK summer events, as well as a blog post we penned on summer festivals in Devon.

There’s a great selection of our best summer-themed travel content below, so scroll on down to start reading…

From Budapest to The Bahamas: Travel Guide Content for TravelSupermarket

At World Words, we’re often asked to write destination guides for our clients. No wonder – travel guide content is the ideal way for a travel brand to share its expertise, while also communicating its unique personality and tone of voice. It can also do wonders for a brand’s SEO, boosting its search engine rankings in relation to key destinations and services, and ultimately delivering more potential customers to its website. And when it comes to travel guide writing, there’s nobody with as much content experience and as much local destination expertise as World Words.

In early 2017, we were approached by online travel comparison company TravelSupermarket. They were looking for a series of 3,500- to 4,500-word travel guides on popular destinations across Europe and beyond, from short city breaks to long island escapes. With our team of writers based all around the world, World Words was able to offer the on-the-ground insight they wanted, so over the next few months we wrote 30 different guides for them.

We’ve included extracts and links for six of our fave TravelSupermarket guides below. Scroll down to read them…
