The Best of Our Autumn Travel Content

We hate to begin with bad news, but there’s no avoiding it: summer is officially over. However, rather than dwelling on all the negatives (bye bye sunshine, sandals and copious amounts of ice cream), let’s all focus on the positives. Autumn is here, and that means loads of exciting things are on the horizon, from nature adventures to city breaks.

To celebrate, we’ve decided to share some of our favourite fall-themed travel content written by the World Words team, from inspiring magazine articles and engaging travel blogs to detailed destination guides. Why not prolong your summer with a sunny beach escape in Goa or with a wine-filled Napa Valley weekend? Alternatively, gear up for winter via the geysers and glaciers of both Canada and Iceland. You could also enjoy a seasonal city break in cafe-filled Vienna, or spend your autumn seeing all the sights of lesser-visited Lithuania. The options are endless.

In the Our Travels blog series, our team of writers and editors recount their experiences of destinations all across the globe. We’ve blogged about trips to ItalyGuatemala, BelarusSpain, Oman, Ireland… and that’s only the start.

This month, staff content editor Eilidh shares her latest travel experience. Hot on the heels of a trip to the Biennale in Venice, she jetted off on a guided tour of Orchha in Madhya Pradesh, India. Scroll on down to read all about it…

Getting to Know Genoa, Italy: A City Destination Travel Guide for Expedia

Our team at World Words regularly write and edit travel guides for the leading online travel company Expedia. In fact, we create more Expedia travel guides than we can possibly list here (for example, just since the start of April, we’ve produced city and regional guides on the Netherlands, the USA, India, England, Japan and the Bahamas).

We might not be able to show them all, but we have picked out one of our recently-published destination guides. This month, our guide to Genoa, the capital of Liguria in northwestern Italy, was published on Expedia’s website. And to give you a taste of what you can expect in this stunning seaside city, we’ve included the overview below.
