From Iceland to South Africa: Read Our Blog Posts for Conversational Traveler

Earlier this year, in the deep dark days of lockdown, we were approached by boutique New York travel agency Conversational Traveler to contribute to their Monday with M blog. They wanted us to write a series of inspiring travel blogs on destinations across the US and around the world. Naturally, we jumped at the chance: if we were going to be stuck at home, at least we could imagine we were on the open road (and help others do the same).

Over the next six months, as restrictions slowly eased, we produced a number of blog articles for Conversational Traveler, on destinations ranging from Iceland to Greece to South Africa. We have included extracts from a few of these articles below – simply scroll down to read the snippet, or click for the full piece on the Mondays by M blog.

You may also have seen new From the Grapevine projects pop up on our portfolio page.

Well, we’re still going strong, and this month we’ve several new articles being published on the site. Five of the World’s Best Long-Distance Trails: A Blog For From the Grapevine

Fresh air and a sense of freedom – there’s nothing quite like exploring on your own two feet. Hiking is a favourite activity for many and we think it’s one of the best – and most fun – ways to get to know a new place. But the long-distance trails we’ve included in our latest travel article for From the Grapevine are not for fair-weather ramblers; these ambitious walking routes are epic feats reserved for the fittest and most dedicated of outdoor enthusiasts.

In our round-up of the world’s greatest hiking trails, we selected five of the most demanding and most spectacular long-distance footpaths across three continents. We included everything from New Zealand’s cinematic Te Araroa Trail to Israel’s diverse National Trail to America’s famous Pacific Crest Trail (setting for recent Reese Witherspoon blockbuster, ‘Wild’). To find out more about the challenges of each route, read an excerpt from our article below…

Getting to Know Genoa, Italy: A City Destination Travel Guide for Expedia

Our team at World Words regularly write and edit travel guides for the leading online travel company Expedia. In fact, we create more Expedia travel guides than we can possibly list here (for example, just since the start of April, we’ve produced city and regional guides on the Netherlands, the USA, India, England, Japan and the Bahamas).

We might not be able to show them all, but we have picked out one of our recently-published destination guides. This month, our guide to Genoa, the capital of Liguria in northwestern Italy, was published on Expedia’s website. And to give you a taste of what you can expect in this stunning seaside city, we’ve included the overview below.
