Our Travels: Orchha, India

We’re always on the go here at World Words. Travel is a way of life for us – almost as much as writing. When we aren’t busy exploring somewhere new, we’re writing up our most recent adventures (while booking our next one).

In the Our Travels blog series, our team of writers and editors recount their experiences of destinations all across the globe. We’ve blogged about trips to ItalyGuatemala, BelarusSpain, Oman, Ireland… and that’s only the start.

This month, staff content editor Eilidh shares her latest travel experience. Hot on the heels of a trip to the Biennale in Venice, she jetted off on a guided tour of Orchha in Madhya Pradesh, India. Scroll on down to read all about it…

Finolhu: A Revival of Classic Beach Chic (A Press Release for Bacall Associates)

Back in March 2016, World Words was approached by the leading public relations agency Bacall Associates. The agency, which bills itself as a ’boutique PR, marketing and sales support agency’ and particularly specialises in the travel sector, required a series of press releases to be written about luxury hotel resorts across Europe and Asia.

Naturally, we were all too happy to help. We wrote five press releases in total, on resorts ranging from AlmaLusa in Lisbon to Dhara Dhevi in Chiang Mai, but one of the first releases to be sent out to press was about Finolhu. A newly-opened property in the Maldives, Finolhu is a beautiful five-star resort that is all about old-school relaxation.

You’ll find the press release below…

Singapore: A Region Guide for HomeAway

Singapore is a place quite unlike any other. The world’s only island city-state is known both as a global commerce and financial centre and as a hard-to-beat holiday destination, offering a wealth of world-class cultural institutions, extraordinary architecture and never-ending nightlife – all boosted by a unfailingly warm, equatorial climate. For travellers, it’s an amazing city, which is why when HomeAway, the world’s largest holiday home (vacation rental) company with over a million global listings, asked us to write them a guide on the city, we jumped at the chance.

The first in a series of Asia-Pacific region guides for HomeAway – the rest, from Dubai to Hong Kong to Sydney, will go live during March – Singapore was published last week. And you can read our regional overview below.
