Our Travels: Tallinn and Parnu, Estonia

If there’s one thing you need to know about the World Words team, it’s this – we love to travel. There is absolutely nothing we enjoy more than exploring the world. In fact, as we speak, our team members are venturing across the globe, discovering new sights and gaining insider knowledge so we can provide real travel insight for our clients.

Occasionally, we like to share some of our recent travel experiences with the readers of our World Words blog, in a series that we call Our Travels. If you are new to World Words, don’t worry – you can delve into the Our Travels archives here. You’ll find plenty of individual destinations to discover, from Canada to India, Guatemala to Iceland.

This month, it’s the turn of our editor-in-chief Joe to recount a recent trip to sunny Estonia. Earlier this summer, he decided to take a mini-break to capital Tallinn, but was surprised to find himself venturing outside the city as well…

Inspiring Words and Incredible Images: How to Combine Them in Travel Content

Here at World Words, we pride ourselves on our top-notch, insightful travel content. It’s what we do… bring far-flung destinations to life with the awesome power of the written word. Unlike content in many industries, travel content is about far more than facts and figures; it must be snappy and concise while offering a deeper level of description that evokes sensations and drives wanderlust. It needs to tell a story. And like all memorable stories, content works best when the expertly-crafted words are accompanied by complementary and beautiful images.

Although we may specialise in writing, we understand how startling imagery can bring your content to life. And it works best of all when words and images work in tandem. So here are top tips for combining the two art forms…

Our Travels: Vancouver Island, Canada

As you read this, some of the World Words team are almost certainly travelling away from home. When we aren’t writing, we’re exploring, which is why we’re the only content agency that caters exclusively to the travel market. Our team is regularly globetrotting and we love to write about our travel adventures in these Our Travels blogs. Like the time Mandy met Tanuki in Honshu, Joe chased geysers in Iceland and Georgia was dazzled by Dubai.

Nathanael, one of our staff content writers, certainly grabs any chance he gets to travel. Last summer, he seized the opportunity to realise a long-held travel dream to visit British Columbia, starting in glorious Vancouver Island…

Hello

The view from Nathanael’s bed and breakfast on Vancouver Island.

Our Travels: Finger Lakes, United States

There’s a good reason the World Words team specialise in writing about travel. It’s because we’re always on the road, many of us having ticked off the bucket-list biggies a while back and now seeking out further-flung corners of the world. Our love of writing is matched only by our passion for roaming, which we like to share with our loyal readers in Our Travels blogs. So far, we’ve written about everywhere from Belarus to India, Guatemala to Oman.

Recently, one of our staff content writers Nathanael hopped on a plane to New York. But not for a city break – he didn’t so much as catch a glimpse of the Empire State Building or the Statue of Liberty. Instead, he chose to head northwest to a quiet rural region of New York state known as The Finger Lakes. Here are his highlights of the trip…

Hello
