Our Travels: Patagonia, Chile

If there is just one thing you need to know about World Words writers and editors, it is that we love to travel. And we don’t just mean two weeks on a Spanish beach or a weekend break to New York (though we wouldn’t say no to either) – we go out and explore some of the most interesting, adventurous and often lesser-visited destinations in the world. Right now, you can find our team members traversing pretty much every continent, having incredible experiences that will help inform the expert travel content we create for our clients. Yes, we know… it’s a hard life.

Once a month or so, we like to share some of our team’s recent trips on our blog, in a series we call Our Travels. Regular readers will know we’ve previously covered everywhere from India to The Gambia and from Canada to Thailand. This month, World Words’ editor-in-chief Joe is heading to South America. In fact, he is heading to the very south of South America – Patagonia. Scroll on down to read his account of his eventful Chilean adventure…

Spring has Sprung: The Highlights from Our Spring Content Archives – Part One

Look outside. The days are getting longer. Daffodils are poking their yellow heads up through the dirt. Cadbury Creme Eggs have come and gone from our lives. And all this can only mean one thing: spring is finally upon us.

We are celebrating the new season with some of our best spring-themed content. Bid farewell to winter’s hearty comfort food and choose lighter fare instead, with our selection of the world’s finest seafood restaurants. Spring is also the season for festivals, with Songkran (aka Thai New Year) a springtime favourite – you can find a chic place to stay with our run-down of Thailand’s greatest luxury design hotels. With the weather getting better, why not also discover some new places – we’ve added a guide on Moscow and copy for a hotel on the Algarve. And the days may be getting longer, but there’s still pitch black night skies to enjoy, so we have included a piece on stargazing.

Our Travels: Easter Island

At World Words, we are very proud of our team’s extensive travel experience. You see, not only are all our writers and editors highly experienced in the worlds of journalism and marketing, they’re also uncommonly well-travelled. In fact, you won’t find many corners of the world that members of the World Words team have not visited. And we believe that this passion for travel and this personal experience gives our travel content unparalleled authenticity.

As regular readers of the Our Travels blog series will know, we like to share some of our most exciting trips with our readers. This month, it’s the turn of editor-in-chief Joe. Having previously written about travels to Belarus, The Gambia and Corsica (among others), he is now heading to one of the most remote places on earth. Easter Island.
