Our Best Autumn-Themed Travel Content

We hate to begin with bad news, but there’s no avoiding it: summer is officially over. However, rather than dwelling on all the negatives (bye bye sunshine, sandals and copious amounts of ice cream), let’s all focus on the positives.

Autumn is here… and that means loads of exciting things are on the horizon. If you are based in the UK, you can expect a flurry of festivals coming your way, including the UK-wide Museums at Night and London Open House. Not familiar with these events? Find out more by reading our write-ups of previous editions below. We also have stuff about picnicking and outdoor marathons (if the weather remains sunny), and a seasonal city break to Vienna in Austria (suitable in all weathers). Without further ado, here’s a selection of our best fall-themed travel content…

Our Travels: Andorra

At this precise moment in time, there are World Words team members dotted all over the world. Literally. All over the world. It’s inevitable, really – when you are a team of travel content writers and editors, discovering far-flung corners of the globe isn’t only our greatest passion; it’s part of the job description. After all, it’s this on-the-ground expertise that allows us to create exactly the kind of well-informed, superior-quality content that our clients crave.

Every once in a while, we like to give our readers some insight into where on earth our team members are. And we do this through a blog series called, imaginatively, Our Travels. In the past, we’ve covered our writers’ trips to everywhere from Lisbon to Luang Prabang, Guatemala to The Gambia. This time, it’s the European microstate of Andorra. Scroll down to read about our editor-in-chief Joe’s trip, the realisation to a 17-year-long travel ambition…

Our Travels: Patagonia, Chile

If there is just one thing you need to know about World Words writers and editors, it is that we love to travel. And we don’t just mean two weeks on a Spanish beach or a weekend break to New York (though we wouldn’t say no to either) – we go out and explore some of the most interesting, adventurous and often lesser-visited destinations in the world. Right now, you can find our team members traversing pretty much every continent, having incredible experiences that will help inform the expert travel content we create for our clients. Yes, we know… it’s a hard life.

Once a month or so, we like to share some of our team’s recent trips on our blog, in a series we call Our Travels. Regular readers will know we’ve previously covered everywhere from India to The Gambia and from Canada to Thailand. This month, World Words’ editor-in-chief Joe is heading to South America. In fact, he is heading to the very south of South America – Patagonia. Scroll on down to read his account of his eventful Chilean adventure…

Our Travels: Tel Aviv, Israel

At World Words, we put our money where our mouth is and get out there exploring and experiencing first hand all of the amazing places we write about. One of us can always be found off somewhere, whether an exotic far-flung destination such as The Gambia, Guatemala or India, or a city break closer to home like Tallinn, Lisbon or Venice.

When we’re at our desks, all those experiences come tumbling out, creating insightful, factual and inspiring travel content. We love to relive our personal trips, and do so for our clients in the forms of blogs, guides and web copy.

This month, World Words writer Samantha recounts her trip to Tel Aviv, a city capable of surprising even the most unflappable of travellers. Cosmopolitan, edgy yet also child-friendly, it is Israel’s hippest destination. Here’s why…
