From Sri Lanka to the South of France – More of Our loveholidays Travel Guides

As regular readers of our blog will know, we were asked late last year by loveholidays – the UK’s fastest-growing online travel agency – to write a selection of in-depth travel destination guides for their website. Each 1,750-word guide would need to follow a strict format and include sections such as ‘things to do’, ‘food and drink’ and ‘FAQs’.

We’ve previously profiled five of the guides we wrote for loveholidays in early 2021, from Thailand to Tunisia. Now, we’d like to share five more recent ones. Scroll down to read short extracts from our guides on Sri Lanka, Tokyo, Morocco, Goa and the South of France. You can read the full guides by clicking the links to the loveholidays site…

More of Our Student Language Travel Itineraries for Educational Journeys

As anybody who read our previous portfolio blog will know, we were approached in 2019 by the learning-focused travel agency Educational Journeys to write a series of travel itineraries for Australian high school students. The itineraries would vary in educational subject, from languages to history, but each of them would require inspiring travel content that would appeal not only to grades-focused teachers and parents but also to fun-loving students.

Naturally, we accepted the challenge (the trickier, the better) and, as of mid-2020, we have completed dozens of itineraries for Educational Journeys. You can see three previous ones here. As such, we thought we would share a few more of our recent efforts. Scroll down to read extracts from itineraries to Indonesia, Vietnam and France…

The Best of Our Winter Travel Content

Every year, when the weather starts to turn chilly in our corner of the world, we find that the content we produce for clients at World Words begins to take on a distinctly seasonal slant. All of a sudden, the travel content agenda is dominated by all things wintery, from celebrations like Christmas and New Year, to activities like winter sports.

Our winter travel content is for everyone to enjoy. Disappointed you’re not cosied up in a chalet by a roaring log fire? Read about our Alpine adventures in St. Moritz and pretend you are. Rather have some winter sun? Read our the wonderful winter sun destination that is Eilat. Or maybe you’re already planning your summer escape? Luckily, we’ve also included a destination guide we created on the Languedoc region in sun-drenched southern France.

You’ll find extracts from a selection of our favourite winter pieces below, so scroll down to read a little of each…

Our Travels: Montpellier, France

It probably comes as no surprise to you that the World Words team has a serious case of wanderlust. After all, it’s those itchy feet that led us to specialise in travel content in the first place. We don’t just love to write about global destinations, we get out there and explore them for ourselves, which is what makes our content so well informed.

The Our Travels blog series gives us the chance to share our very best travel stories with you each month. Our jet-setting writers and editors have visited worldwide destinations as varied as Oman, Estonia and Quebec City.

In this month’s blog, World Words content writer Ruth heads to the sunny south of France to explore Montpellier…
