Our Travels: Stockholm, Sweden

Summer is well under way in the northern hemisphere, so the sun-loving members of the World Words team are busy planning their warm-weather travel adventures. But there’s still enough room for nostalgia for chillier times.

In this popular Our Travels blog series, World Words writers and editors take a look back at some of their most memorable experiences abroad. We’re a very well-travelled bunch, so you can read about our trips everywhere from Madeira to New York State and from India to Belarus. And they’re just some of the most recent excursions.

This month, the article comes from staff content editor Eilidh, who looks back on a trip she took earlier this year to snowy Stockholm. From fine food to memorable museums, here’s her take on a city break in the Swedish capital…

Our Best Summer Travel Content – Part 1

It’s already mid-June, and summer is really heating up. It’s time to share some of out best summer travel content.

For many of us, summer is synonymous with holidays – the warmer the weather, the more we yearn to get out of the city and head down to the beach – so we’ll start with a pair of destination guides we wrote for two of Southern Europe’s finest summer seaside getaways. First up is Puglia, Italy’s stunning destination du jour, and next is Spain’s sand-lined Costa Blanca, where toasty summer temperatures have been drawing in sun worshippers for decades.

Alternatively, if you dream of spending your summer the way wealthy tycoons and celebrities do (i.e. lounging on the deck of a luxury yacht), you may want to read the article we wrote on Palma’s superyacht scene. And for those who don’t have the budget, holiday time or inclination to venture to the Mediterranean, we’ve also included a rundown of country-wide UK summer events, as well as a blog post we penned on summer festivals in Devon.

There’s a great selection of our best summer-themed travel content below, so scroll on down to start reading…

Our Travels: Isla Canela, Spain

The World Words writers are a very well-travelled bunch. Our inteprid team explores new corners of our planet at every opportunity, thirsty to discover fresh cultures, unique people and unfamiliar experiences. This love of travel, combined with vast content writing experience, ensures the work we create is a cut above all of our competitors. On many occasions, our content is being created by writers who are currently experiencing their words first hand.

As our writers are so frequently on the road, we like sharing their experiences with our readers in the blog series Our Travels. This time, staff content writer Georgia shares her highlights of Isla Canela in Andalucía, Spain (it’s our second trip to the Iberian peninsula this year, after writer Sam’s voyage to Girona). Scroll down to read all about it.
