Our Travels: Northern Oman

We’re often asked: “What’s the difference between World Words and other content writing agencies?” Our answer is simple: experience. While most agencies have rows of writers sitting behind desks and researching topics, our expert travel writers and editors are on the road, digging and discovering to get personal experience and insight to inform their content. Not only are our contributors based all over the world, from Europe to Asia, North America to Australia, but they love to travel too. We’ve itchy feet by nature, so we spend almost as much of our collective time exploring the world as we do writing about it. And that’s what makes World Words stand out from the pack.

To highlight our team’s wanderlust, we like to share their travel stories through a blog feature we call Our Travels. This month, our editor-in-chief Joe Reaney recalls a recent, unforgettable trip to Oman. Scroll down to read more…

How to Always Deliver Your Work to the Deadline: Our Advice for Travel Writers

The reputations of content writers and editors live and die by their deadlines. A late hand-in is one of the worst sins a writer can commit. Repeated missed deadlines can strain client relationships, damage your reputation and, ultimately, impact on your income. Even if your failure to meet a deadline is a rare occurrence – even if it’s a one-off – it will almost certainly kill hopes of a repeat commission, and put a permanent black mark next to your name.

The harsh truth is that it doesn’t matter how busy you are or what else is happening in your life – whether you’ve taken on too many commissions, or are juggling work with personal issues – at the end of the day, clients (quite rightly) demand quality, on-time content without exception. If you can’t deliver, they’ll find someone else who can.

If you are a writer or editor who needs help meeting your deadlines, the reliably punctual team of expert writers and editors at World Words is here to help. Read on for our top tips on always being dependable with deadlines.

Our Best Spring Travel Content – Part 2

Earlier this month, we took to the blog to show you some of the best spring-themed content written by the World Words team. But it turns out that we couldn’t do ourselves justice with just one blog. So we’re back with another.

As anyone of the pedalling persuasion knows, spring is prime cycling season, so we’ve dug up two articles from the archives on the topic: the first, a cycling itinerary guide and the second, a blog post on urban cycling events. If you favour two feet over two wheels, we’ve got an article on the world’s best long-distance hiking trails too. And if all that seems a little too active for your tastes, never fear; we have also got some more laid-back outdoor fun on offer in the form of a guide to London’s best parks. Last but by no means least, we’ve included a travel guide we wrote to the Isle of Skye. Although this Scottish isle is beautiful at any time of the year, we think it peaks in spring when the wildflowers are in full bloom and the puffins finally show their faces. Scroll on down to read them all…
