Welcome to World Words: Meet Our Two New Travel Writers, Samantha and Chris

This May, we are delighted to welcome two new travel content writers, Samantha and Chris, to the in-house team.

Joining World Words as staff content writers and editors, Samantha and Chris will be working on a wide variety of content projects for us, including travel articles, blogs, web copy, guides, itineraries, press releases and social and digital marketing. They both come to us with a wealth of content writing experience and masses of travel industry know-how, as well as some incredible, envy-inducing travel experiences. Let’s find out a little more about them…

Samantha Wilson is an experienced travel journalist and copywriter based in Somerset. A paid-up member of the British Guild of Travel Writers, she has written everything from country guidebooks for Bradt Travel Guides to web copy for the travel agent Thomas Cook. Other travel clients of hers include Jet2, Thomson and Princess Cruises.

Samantha has lived all over the world during her lifetime, including Israel, China and Spain, as well as a tiny island off the coast of Honduras – but that is a whole other story. Samantha’s also travelled across the globe, including the length and breadth of South and Central America; naturally, she speaks fluent Spanish. Yet she is also happy to explore closer to home, spending her weekends hiking and kayaking in Exmoor and Dartmoor National Parks.

Chris Anderson is also an experienced travel content writer, having produced magazines, brochures, web copy, press releases and other content for a range of travel clients in Europe and the Middle East. He is currently the editor for the inflight magazine of Jazeera Airways, and he also regularly contributes to the inflight magazines of Emirates, Qatar Airways and Gulf Air. As for on-the-ground publications, he has written for Condé Nast Traveller, Esquire and Harper’s Bazaar, and spent seven years living in Dubai as a Managing Editor of the Time Out brand.

Chris has travelled far and wide, from Japan to the United States, Sri Lanka to Morocco, but his specialist area of expertise is the Middle East, a region in which he’s lived and explored endlessly. Chris currently lives in London.

In the coming weeks and months, you can expect to hear a lot more from Samantha and Chris, both on this blog and also in our latest projects. And you can keep on top of all their projects by following us on Twitter.
