Our Travels: Snowdonia, Wales

As regular readers of the Our Travel blogs will know, our team of intrepid travel content writers are always on the go – even during a global pandemic (local lockdowns permitting, of course). From the cosmopolitan chic of San Francisco to the tropical bliss of Indonesia’s Gili Islands to the big game of Samburu Reserve in Kenya, they get itchy feet if they’re not planning their next escape (then returning home and reliving it by writing blogs like this!)

While far flung destinations are always enticing, we are also big advocates of discovering the delights that are on our respective doorsteps. In fact, one of the few bright spots of all the recent Covid-related travel restrictions has been having the time and the excuse to explore local attractions a little more thoroughly. With that in mind, World Words writer Samantha Wilson – along with her husband and young daughter – recently set off for a wintry break in the wilds of Snowdonia National Park in northwest Wales. You can scroll on to read all about her experiences…

Our Travels: Mallorca, Spain

Everyone here at World Words loves to travel. Well, travel writing would be an odd career choice if we didn’t. At any time, you’ll find several of us on the road, whether we’re on the Pacific paradise of Easter Island, in Thailand’s vibrant capital Bangkok or, well, anywhere else. The fact is, there are few places on earth none of us have been.

Once we’re back on home soil after a trip, there’s nothing we love more than writing about it, sharing our insights and discoveries about the destination. That’s why we created this Our Travels blog series – to give us a chance to share some of our more personal travel tales with you. After all, it’s this genuine wealth of travel experience that gives our work its authentic voice, allowing us to create factual, inspiring and original content. So why not share it?

This month, World Words content writer Samantha takes a trip to Mallorca, one of Spain’s sunny Balearic Islands – and her childhood stomping ground. Scroll on down to read her brand new take on a once-familiar destination…

Our Travels: Tel Aviv, Israel

At World Words, we put our money where our mouth is and get out there exploring and experiencing first hand all of the amazing places we write about. One of us can always be found off somewhere, whether an exotic far-flung destination such as The Gambia, Guatemala or India, or a city break closer to home like Tallinn, Lisbon or Venice.

When we’re at our desks, all those experiences come tumbling out, creating insightful, factual and inspiring travel content. We love to relive our personal trips, and do so for our clients in the forms of blogs, guides and web copy.

This month, World Words writer Samantha recounts her trip to Tel Aviv, a city capable of surprising even the most unflappable of travellers. Cosmopolitan, edgy yet also child-friendly, it is Israel’s hippest destination. Here’s why…

Our Travels: Cornwall, England

All of us at World Words are lucky enough to count ourselves as very well-travelled. It’s our greatest passion, and our wanderlust is at the heart of everything we do – and everything we write. Between us, we’ve crisscrossed the globe, venturing to incredible destinations and far-flung hidden treasures whose names are difficult to pronounce.

Naturally, then, the Our Travels blog series is something dear to our hearts, as it allows us tell our personal travel stories. Regular readers of this blog will already have heard our tales from such varied places as Belarus, Oman and Japan. Yet sometimes we venture only a couple of hours from home, to explore what’s right on our doorstep.

In this month’s blog, staff content writer Samantha Wilson recounts a long weekend with her family near Fowey in the heart of Cornwall. That’s in the south west of England, for the uninitiated. Scroll down to read all about her trip.
