Our Best Spring Travel Content – Part 2

Earlier this month, we took to the blog to show you some of the best spring-themed content written by the World Words team. But it turns out that we couldn’t do ourselves justice with just one blog. So we’re back with another.

As anyone of the pedalling persuasion knows, spring is prime cycling season, so we’ve dug up two articles from the archives on the topic: the first, a cycling itinerary guide and the second, a blog post on urban cycling events. If you favour two feet over two wheels, we’ve got an article on the world’s best long-distance hiking trails too. And if all that seems a little too active for your tastes, never fear; we have also got some more laid-back outdoor fun on offer in the form of a guide to London’s best parks. Last but by no means least, we’ve included a travel guide we wrote to the Isle of Skye. Although this Scottish isle is beautiful at any time of the year, we think it peaks in spring when the wildflowers are in full bloom and the puffins finally show their faces. Cuba at the Crossroads: A Snap-Happy Travel Itinerary for Photo Xpeditions

Cuba has long been a dream destination for many American travellers, and it is gradually becoming a genuine possibility. Relaxed regulations have made it easier for Americans to get to the island for reasons of cultural exchange, though unfettered travel is still some way off the cards. One thing is for sure; Cuba is on the cusp. A dramatic change looms ahead, though right now, much of what makes this country so special – the classic cars, undeveloped beaches, decaying yet beautiful buildings and inimitable atmosphere – is still very much present.

One of our clients, Photo Xpeditions, is enabling travellers to experience this fascinating nation through a new photographic workshop. And our team at World Words produced the web copy and travel itinerary around this. The nine-day tour takes in the country’s second-largest city, Santiago de Cuba; the lesser-known coastal city of Baracoa; labyrinthine Camagüey and many more places besides. Led by two professional (and award-winning) photographers with years of experience snapping and exploring Cuba, the workshop promises the chance for photographers to both experience and capture the island’s unique essence during this most interesting of times.

Inspiring Iceland: A Photography Tour Itinerary Written for Photo Xpeditions

Our team at World Words are regularly enlisted to write tempting travel itineraries for an array of tour providers. One such client is PhotoXpeditions, who run photography workshops, taking participants out to incredible destinations all over the world to hone their photographic skills under the guidance of a photographic pro. We’ve completed quite a few enticing tour itineraries for Photo Xpeditions in the past, writing about photography-focused tours of places such as Japan and Myanmar.

Among the recently published itineraries produced by our expert travel writers was this ‘Inspiring Iceland’ photography workshop. With its raw and dramatic landscapes, hot springs and cool cities, Iceland has endless lens fodder. Plus, it’s one of the main filming locations for the incredibly popular ‘Game of Thrones’ TV series – few destinations are more in vogue among travellers right now. So Photo Xpeditions asked us to take a look at their existing itinerary, tidy up what was already there and add lots more interesting information off our own back.

We’ve published an excerpt from the itinerary below to give you a taster of what the tour will include.

Photo Xpeditions: Hidden Myanmar Photographic Travel Itinerary

Travel and photography go together like steak and frites. But how can you get more out of your travelling snaps?

That’s the question one of our clients, PhotoXpeditions, is helping to answer. Through a range of photographic workshops, PhotoXpeditions takes participants on exciting travel adventures to such far-flung destinations as Andalusia and Peru – and all to practice their photography skills. During their travels, they are accompanied by a pro photographer who shares the tricks of the trade and offers advice on how to capture that perfect image.

Recently, we at World Words have been busy writing engaging photography-focused travel itineraries that reveal the details of PhotoXpeditions fantastic workshops. In the past, we’ve worked our magic on tailor-made photo tours through Northern Spain, such as this ‘On the Footsteps of St. James’ itinerary, but most recently we have turned our attention to Asia, helping to pen engaging travel itineraries for the likes of Myanmar and Japan.
